Yuliia Spinova

Ukrainian language editor for UWEC Work Group. She is conservation ecologist, co-founder of NGO Ukrainian Nature Conservation Group (UNCG), and has a PhD in ecology. 

She graduated from Donetsk National Technical University majoring in ecology and environmental protection. At the beginning of the Russian invasion in 2014, she was forced to leave Donetsk and become an internally displaced person (IDP). Her research interests include biodiversity monitoring, protected areas creation and management, ecological networks, impact of war on natural ecosystems, and ecosystem restoration; she is also interested in environmental education, environmental science, and environmental ethics.

She is author and co-author of more than 30 scientific articles and publications on the nature reserve fund, ecological networks and the military actions consequences for natural ecosystems.
