Олексій Овчинников

Aleksei is a Belarusian environmental journalist and activist. He has MAs in philosophy and sociology (urban studies) from European Humanities University, Vilnius, Lithuania.  Aleksei is an author and co-editor of Green Belarus Belarusian independent environmental media and author and co-editor of Eco.Rayon Ukrainian regional environmental media. In September 2021 he left Belarus for political reasons, first living in Ukraine and now in Georgia. Aleksei has continued his environmental activities in exile, organizing local environmental meetings and workshops.
